NORMANDY ACADEMY - An Interactive Learning Experience
The National WWII Museum’s Normandy Academy is a 11 day long immersive learning experience in New Orleans, Louisiana and Normandy, France. Students dive in depth about the historic D-day landings, exploring exhibits and artifacts and walking on the very beach where the landings took place.

Normandy Academy Program Information
Students across the country will gather at New Orleans to see exclusive artifacts at the WWII Museum’s collection. The students will learn in depth about WWII and the Normandy Landings.
Next the students will travel to France. Students will see the sights of Paris by bus then travel to Bayeux, where they will spend several days visiting the beaches where the landings took place.
Normandy Academy Scholarship Information
Thanks to the generosity of the Jedel Family Foundation, Oak Park Alumnae Linda Holwick Bond ’76 and the late Michele Evenson Lindsay ’76, and other dedicated donors two students from each high school in the NKC district will be selected to receive a full scholarship for the Normandy Academy. This scholarship will fully cover tuition, meals, flights, and other travel expenses. For more information see the Normandy Academy website below.
