Kahler Grants

The Dr. Dan Kahler Innovative Teaching Grants Program funds enhanced teaching and learning opportunities. Applicants must demonstrate creative, innovative and effective ways to meet students’ needs, while increasing their motivation to learn and achieving measurable outcomes. All district staff may apply.

Grants for 2017-2018 were awarded in April during the Education Foundation’s Great Grant Giveaway. For descriptions of the winners, click here.

Since 1997, the Education Foundation has awarded 235 grants worth $315,000. For a list of all winners, click here. 

Applications for the 2018-2019 school year will be available in December. There are four types of grants, including ones that support the district's focus on Career & College Readiness. The Education Foundation Advisory Board will determine the number of grants awarded annually. All applications will be reviewed anonymously by a committee of educators, community members and Education Foundation representatives.
